Day 7 Prayer Initiative: Pray for the End

  • Pray the Bible: Psalms 40

1 I waited patiently for the LORD;And He inclined to me,And heard my cry.2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,Out of the miry clay,And set my feet upon a rock,And established my steps.3 He has put a new song in my mouth—Praise to our God;Many will see it and fear,And will trust in the LORD.4 Blessed is that man who makes the LORD his trust,And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.5 Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful worksWhich You have done; And Your thoughts toward usCannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them,They are more than can be numbered.6 Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; My ears You have opened.Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require.7 Then I said, “Behold, I come;In the scroll of the book it is written of me.8 I delight to do Your will, O my God,And Your law is within my heart.”9 I have proclaimed the good news of righteousnessIn the great assembly;Indeed, I do not restrain my lips,O LORD, You Yourself know.10 I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart;I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation;I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truthFrom the great assembly.11 Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O LORD;Let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me.12 For innumerable evils have surrounded me;My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up;They are more than the hairs of my head; Therefore my heart fails me.13 Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me;O LORD, make haste to help me!14 Let them be ashamed and brought to mutual confusionWho seek to destroy my life;Let them be driven backward and brought to dishonorWho wish me evil.15 Let them be confounded because of their shame,Who say to me, “Aha, aha!”16 Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You;Let such as love Your salvation say continually,“The LORD be magnified!”17 But I am poor and needy;Yet the LORD thinks upon me.You are my help and my deliverer;Do not delay, O my God.

  • Prayer Initiative for Today

This is the last day of our prayer initiative. From most reports the eastern part of Ukraine could be in war for years. Ukraine has miraculously held their own and drove back Russia from most other regions such as the Capital. Mariupol was able to evacuate over 500 civilians yesterday by the help of the Red Cross. This is an answer to prayer.

Today our prayer continues to be for an end to the conflict that has brought so much human suffering on Ukraine and the Ukrainian Church. We need supernatural intervention from God for this to happen. So with that said,

Pray for the end of the war to come!

Day 6 Prayer Initiative: Pray for the Battle

  • Pray the Bible: Psalms 27

1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life;Of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell.3 Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident. 4 One thing I have desired of the LORD, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, And to inquire in His temple. 5 For in the time of troubleHe shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. 6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD. 7 Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me, and answer me. 8 When You said, “Seek My face,”My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.” 9 Do not hide Your face from me; Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help;Do not leave me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation. 10 When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the LORD will take care of me. 11 Teach me Your way, O LORD, And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies. 12 Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries; For false witnesses have risen against me, And such as breathe out violence. 13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living. 14 Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!

  • Prayer Initiative #2- Pray for Ukrainian Soldiers

Pray for strength and courage for the Ukrainian soldiers, many who were civilians 40 days ago.

Pray for the courage needed to fight the battle to defend their land from the invasion.

Pray that peace surrounds them even during battle.

  • Prayer Initiative #3-Pray for Russia to be Pushed Back

Give thanks to God that Russia has been pushed out of Kyiv in the northern region of Russia. Reports are saying that the Russian troops are regrouping to move and support the eastern battles but they are having many problems doing so. Pray that these troops stay confused and unorganized and become ineffective in the battle.

Pray for the eastern cities of Ukraine. The battle for Mariupol still seems to be one of the main battles at this time. Red Cross is still having problems reaching civilians. Russia is pounding the city with artillery and AirPower. Pray for a shift in the war as happened with the battle for Kyiv. Pray that soldiers will endure and have the strength to defend Mariupol.

Pray for Slovyansk as Russian forces try to encircle Ukrainian forces. Pray for victory in this region and a push back of the Russian forces. This may well be the next major battle.

Day 5 Prayer Initiative: Pray for Peace

  • Prayer Initiative #1: Pray the Bible Psalms 46

1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah 4 There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. 5 God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. 6 The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. 7 The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah 8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, Who has made desolations in the earth. 9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire. 10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! 11 The LORD of hosts is with us;The God of Jacob is our refuge.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZePRMX8zS98&t=3s

1 In You, O LORD, I put my trust; Let me never be ashamed; Deliver me in Your righteousness. 2Bow down Your ear to me, Deliver me speedily; Be my rock of refuge, A fortress of defense to save me. 3 For You are my rock and my fortress; Therefore, for Your name’s sake, Lead me and guide me. 4 Pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me, For You are my strength. 5 Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O LORD God of truth. 6 I have hated those who regard useless idols; But I trust in the LORD. 7 I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy, For You have considered my trouble; You have known my soul in adversities, 8 And have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy; You have set my feet in a wide place. 9 Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am in trouble; My eye wastes away with grief, Yes, my soul and my body! 10 For my life is spent with grief, And my years with sighing; My strength fails because of my iniquity, And my bones waste away. 11 I am a reproach among all my enemies, But especially among my neighbors, And am repulsive to my acquaintances; Those who see me outside flee from me. 12 I am forgotten like a dead man, out of mind; I am like a broken vessel. 13 For I hear the slander of many; Fear is on every side; While they take counsel together against me, They scheme to take away my life. 14 But as for me, I trust in You, O LORD; I say, “You are my God.” 15 My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, And from those who persecute me. 16 Make Your face shine upon Your servant; Save me for Your mercies’ sake. 17 Do not let me be ashamed, O LORD, for I have called upon You; Let the wicked be ashamed; Let them be silent in the grave. 18 Let the lying lips be put to silence, Which speak insolent things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous. 19 Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You, Which You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men! 20 You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence From the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion From the strife of tongues. 21 Blessed be the LORD, For He has shown me His marvelous kindness in a strong city! 22 For I said in my haste, “I am cut off from before Your eyes”; Nevertheless You heard the voice of my supplications When I cried out to You. 23 Oh, love the LORD, all you His saints! For the LORD preserves the faithful, And fully repays the proud person. 24 Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD.

Day One Prayer Initiatives- Peace

  • Prayer Initiative #1

    1. Pray the Bible Isaiah 9:1-7

1 Nevertheless the gloom will not be upon her who is distressed, As when at first He lightly esteemed The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, And afterward more heavily oppressed her, By the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, In Galilee of the Gentiles. 2 The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined. 3 You have multiplied the nation And increased its joy;[fn] They rejoice before You According to the joy of harvest, As men rejoice when they divide the spoil. 4 For You have broken the yoke of his burden And the staff of his shoulder, The rod of his oppressor, As in the day of Midian. 5 For every warrior’s sandal from the noisy battle, And garments rolled in blood, Will be used for burning and fuel of fire. 6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

  • Prayer Initiative #2

    2. Agree for the increase of His kingdom and peace over Ukraine and Russia. We pray for Jesus to be manifested in spirit and truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 tells us that we should make “prayers … for all people — for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” As we pray for these nations pray for their leaders, Zelensky and Putin, for the Holy Spirit to encounter both of them. Pray for the “beginning of the end” of the war to begin today. Pray for peaceful negotiations and resolutions between national leaders. Some Ukrainian Pastors believe that President Putin is looking for a “way” to end the war without embarrassment. The Ukrainian Pastors are praying that a “way of escape” is made for President Putin as long as the war ends. “For every warrior’s sandal from the noisy battle, and garments rolled in blood, will be used for burning and fuel of fire.”
